Bottle from Systembolaget Bavarian six pack. Pour dark mahogany brown, with a beige head that lingers frothy but settles, Aroma is german malty and grainy, much more in the style of a light beer, not much of the typical roasted tones there. Nice taste, full of delicious münchermalt without being overwhelming, like it is so often today. One of the best Dunkel’s I’ve had. Excellent beer!

50cl bottle @ home from Rewe, Germany. Deep reddish-brown color, big beige creamy mostly lasting good lacing head. Aroma caramel, slitghtly roasted malt, light cereal, hint of chocolate, old paper, dusty attic. Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter. Light body, thin feel, average carbonation, average bittersweet finish. Not too exciting, but drinkable mass beer.

Watery black and oily with not a lot of substance. Sweet with little of the char I like in this sort of a beer. Nice nevertheless.

Kastanienbraune Farbe, kein sonderlicher Geruch feststellbar.
Charakterlos! 8+12+8+7

Bottled, 330ml from Martinz Bar, Wurzburg, Bavaria. Dark brown with cream head. Another highly carbonated German beer, dry malts with a damp cardboard note, some roastiness comes through, biscuit. The beer is reasonably dry and bitter but not great.

330ml bottle. Footed Flute glass. Dark amber color, reddish brown tints to the light. Tan, close & thick crown. Copious rings on sides. Toasted & floral aromas. Toasted malty upfront, rounded by subtle chocolate hues. Light body. Moderate to soft carbonation.Watery mouthfeel. Low floral bitterness arises in the middle & lingers into a sweet finish. Watery texture ruins the beverage throwing flavors & aromas away.
