COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Being a genuine Bavarian type of beer it distinguishes from all “Lager beers” and the usual “Bavarian light beer” through its full-bodied, malt-flavoured and characteristic taste. One particularity of Schlappeseppel Export is the use of “aromatic hops” incorporating all the sense of taste and smell harmonically.
Silver medal at the World-Beer-Cup 2002. Contains: water, barley malt, hops, hop extract. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law from 1516.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts washy, turns then sourish and woody. Unbalanced finish. Not so good!

Maria (9963) - Thisted, DENMARK - NOV 15, 2008
It’s warm golden with a white head and the aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, caramel and flower. It’s smooth, pleasant and it has a really nice full body, I like it a lot!

yngwie (12605) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 20, 2007
Bottled. Clear, golden, with a small white head. Weak but pleasant aroma with hay, grain and malt, still not worth more than a 4. There’s some alcohol in the flavor, as well as grain, grass and notes of hops. Medium body and a finish with hops and grass. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just a bit boring. (070404)

pivnizub (8574) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 15, 2007
Bottle: Visible carbonation, quickly collapsing white head, golden coloured; faint grainy and metallic nose with a tinge of cardboard; light bitter sweet flavour, light bodied; faint bitter-sweet finish. Gulp, a stale impression remains........

MoritzF (8250) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2006
(bottle) Clear, golden colour with an unstable foamy white head. Not very intense malty aroma, slightly sweet and slightly grainy. Light sweet flavour, quite slim grainy taste, lively carbonated mouthfeel; dryish, light bitter and short finish with shy but all the more metallic hops. Poor example of the style.

MiP (13046) - Sřnderborg, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2006
Bottle. Grainy, old hop aroma. Pale yellow colour, small, very unstable head. The flavour is quite mild, OK balance with alcohol. The maltiness is fine, but the hop flavour is not too pleasant. Watery aftertaste with some bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) This is fully golden with a head that leaves lacing on the glass. Very sweet and malty with a discreet bitterness. Almost a fat beer. 080903
