COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlappeseppel Weißbier is a very soft beer, because wheat malt " has only a very fine peel. Brewing by top fermentation with cultured yeast provides this wheat beer with a fruity and/or even flowery aroma. Due to the higher content of carbonic acid it is especially refreshing and digestible.

Cloudy orange yellow with huge white foam head. Aroma is malty with some citrus tones. taste is not a tipical weissbier, it is more lager like. Aftertaste is fresh, bit citrus. (Wiesbaden 201211)

Produces up the picture of good weissbier health. A plume of white rises up and out the lip of the glass; a tight bead, well held and harbouring of a thick and messy lace. Hazy, sunny orange in body with high effervescence. Strong note of caramelised banana and banana custard on the nose with just a little clove and mace spice, pepper and wheat malt - very pleasant. From the sweet nose to the dry of the palate. Quite phenolic and rough in the finish. Dusty with a lot of wheat malt poking through. Very light in body with spritzy carbonation upfront and a much flattened, creamy finish. A touch of that banana of the aroma a welcome taste in the swallow. A little lemon peel too. Overall not a hard hitter but a surprisingly delicious and sessionable brew. I liked it! (50cL, BB 25/02/14, The Beer Store Morley)

Pale light orange cloudy with big creamy long head. mell is orange, citrus, honey melon, hay. Palate is rather flat. Carbonation is soft and smooth and medium mouthful. Aftertaste is fruity little cereal, and yeasty with some dryness. Overall balanced light wheat beer with OK astringent fruity finish, but weak body. Average.

Butelka 0.5L. Alkohol wyczuwalny takze w przelyku, delikatnie go rozgrzewajac. Jak na hefeweizena piala skapa a piwo nie tak orzezwiajace jak z reguly piwa w weizenach. Dziwi goryczka i alkohol, bo tego sie po tym stylu nie spodziewalem. Jednak pomijajac ramy stylu piwo calkiem przyjemne.

It’s unclear yellow-golden with a huge, creamy and white head. The aroma has mild notes of yeast, fruit and wheat. The sweet flavor has mild notes of yeast, fruit and wheat, and the finish is slightly spicy. OK, but a bit boring.

50cl bottle, served in Weizen. Pours hazy golden with small white frothy head. The aroma is a blend of lager-like beer, wheat and banana, more or less as expected. Quite a lot of banana regarding the flavour as well, spiciness and hops. The palate is a bit dry. Medium body, average carbonation. Acceptable.

Milky light amber colour with creamy low head and medium body. Nose of light yeast. Taste of very light yeast, baking soda, straw, mild hops and bananas. Watery and thin finish. I am so happy, that (hopefully all) German Hefeweizens in our cellar are gone now, can’t see them anymore ;-)

Below average. Even for a Weizen. It is missing a lot of the typical aromas without giving me anything in exchange for. Too sour, no fruits, no yeast - first from Schlappe Seppl which I really did not like.
