Schlappeseppel Pils is a golden light beer of dry taste as it is not focused on a wide full-bodied malt taste but on the particular emphasis on the aromatic hop and bitter taste. These herbal and/or lemon flavours of the hops are perceived evoking the interplay between nose and palate.
Formerly was 4.8% ABV. Contains: water, barley malt, hops, hop extract. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law from 1516.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2013 Re-rate from bottle. Fresh mint and grass hop aroma. Pale golden, stable whire lace, fine carbonation. Medium body with a good cwewyness, fine pearling carbonation. Nice brad hop profile: Flowery aromatics on grassy andlight citric notes. Great balance, nice drink. Old rating: 8 3 9 4 18 Powerfull hoparom with main focus on bitternes. Lightly colored, big head. Good balance. Long lingering spritzyness on tounge. Fullbodied.

Lovely clear golden appearance.Poured flat with malts dominating. An excellent well rounded pils. The glass was empty much too quickly which is always a good sign.

On draught at the Hotel Kette in Wertheim. Somewhat above average light blond lagered beer, Reinheitsgebot standard. Not one to cart around the world I would suggest so the ratings below are likely to be more a commentary on the cold chain than the beer.

500ml bottle: light golden yellow in color with a thick white head that lasted throughout the tasting. Mild grape and hop notes in the aroma. Taste is mildly fruity with some grape but mostly hops. Moderately bitter finish. A touch of cardboard in the finish keeps this from being a great pilsener.

Test vom 9.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,12,12,10,8,12 - 11,00

Typical German pilsener. Clean aroma and taste, crisp, may be too much malty. Still drinkable and refreshing.

bottle from pivnizub - diky! Clear pale yellow, large and promising white head with aromatic hops hovering above the glass. Light and elegant malty base, the hops are grassy, very slightly resiny and with a floral touch. So far the best from Schlappeseppel, really very pleasant.

33cl bottle (5.1%). Pours light transparent golden with small white frothy head, no surprise. The aroma is typically Pils, nothing more to add. Pretty much the same regarding taste, with a really nice hoppy touch. Dry palate, spicy bubbles. Very well balanced and refreshing overall, even if simple.

From carrefour. Playing KB Dark Side. Good Pilsen, with much more body than the typical spanish ones and better taste, more equilibrium in bitterness
