COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlappeseppel Special is brewed with special malts. These malts already contain caramelized sugar. About 60 % of the quality of this beer can be traced back to this harmonic flavour. The result is an amber-coloured, full-bodied, balanced beer.

Pale lager estiva, dissetante boccale dopo boccale. Le marzen all’oktober fest di Monaco me le ricordavo più maltate e "pericolose".

Stubby swing-top by 16 Okt 12. Nose reminds of a sweet Kellerbier but with some pretzel. Dull, burnished orange body with plenty of slow cab and a rocky off-white head. Only lightly sweet taste, pushing more to dry, which lots of interesting traditional notes, cereal grain and suppressed caramel, dough, lots of hay, some citrus and grass, maybe some Munich in the darkish amber malt. Layered malt and a medium body, alcohol tastes more like a 4%+ beer. Seems cleaner than the other Gimpy Joes, and might be my favorite from them.

33cl bottle. Amber coloured with a large off-white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly malty. Flavour from the beginning to the final is sweet, dense on palate. Body is medium. Carbonation is soft. Texture is oily.

0,3 liter beugelfles.

330ml. bottle. Golden to amber colour, good head that dissapears soon, leaving a thin lace. Smell is rather nothing, just some floral hint and grain. Light body, nothing specially lively. Taste is again rather dull, some citrus, grain and that’s all. Disappointing.

A bit underwhelming really. modrately oxidised. hints at some decent hop and malt features but all in all not too much to get excited about

Bottle from Edeka in Lautern/Lautertal
Amber color; medium head. Vulgar cereals aroma and flavor, with something that seems oxidisation. Ordinary bitterness. Boring.

Test vom 27.8.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,13,14,12,11,14 - 12,90
