Hell und kräftig.
Due to its high amount of malt, Schlappeseppel bock beer possesses an increased intensity of all perceivable aromas. This gold coloured beer has a strong, full-bodied and complex taste resulting from the malt and hop aromas.

Sehr hellgelbe Farbe. Frisch-hopfiger Geruch, leicht muffig.
--> Nicht mein Bier.

Nice beer. Pours a medium gold color with an even thin head. Aroma is a bit dough-like with tingly alcohol. Flavor comes through with some honey and dried fruits. Not long on aftertaste. A reasonably easy drinker...I enjoyed it.

330ml bottle. Malty, honey, sweet aromas. Pours quite clear golden, with nice vanishing white head, no lacing. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is sweet, some liquorice, malty, honey, some spicy. Balanced. Enjoyable.

Some spiciness in this bock, akin to coriander. Murky golden color with thin head, aroma of pears and malt. Taste has sharp edge to it, tingling the tongue A bit different for a German brew, but not bad.

On tap @ Alquitara. Golden colour with a white head with an average duration. Aroma is herbal, grassy, cerealish and light malty. Flavor is lightly bittery with a medium duration, slightly sweet, some marzipan notes are present. Good body with an average carbonation.

0.33 l bottle. Deep golden color. Sweet aroma with honey, pale bread and tart fruits. Sweet honeyish and tart fruity flavor with citrus and some alcohol. Medium to full body. OK quite typical heller bock.

Bottle. Light pale golden with a large creamy white head...what? Ah, ein Helles Bock. That explains it. :-P Aroma is pale malts, red berries and hints of marzipan. Taste is heavy marzipan tones, sweet pale malts, hints of red berries in the back. So strange. Full body, medium carbonation, slick palate. Strange, and more like a malt liquor or something in that direction than what I would normally associate with a bock, in any case. Not too shabby, though.
