COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlitz’s formula recalls the original hearty taste of the classic 1960’s Schlitz - a true Pilsner, perfectly balanced between full-flavor and easy drinking, with just "a kiss of the hops." So, if you want to experience the gusto again, crack open a cold classic, and taste the world’s second best selling beer of the 1960’s.

Was excited to see what all the hoopla was. Turns out, it’s generic American lager. Boo-urns. Smells like bread with some slight must, and something sweet I can’t name. Tastes like beer, lol. It just... exists.

Pours big white head, golden yellow color. Quite fizzy. Very light smell of malt and corn. Taste bit of grain and corn, with grassy scent. Medium bitterness.

Not bad for an old style american lager. I wish I was alive in the 60s to see some of the other beers that gave Budweiser a run for their money. I’ll be honest, I would gladly drink this again. Very refreshing and drinkable.

It tastes like Schlitz. Wow, what a surprise! A good American lager, no noticeable flaws. The only thing is that I cannot see, smell or taste anything different about this Schlitz. But whatever, it´s a good beer for a hot summer afternoon.

Drank straight from the bottle to improve the taste. I’ll concur (steal) someone else’s comment; this is what macro beer should taste like. It isn’t "good", but it is pleasant and drinkable....especially cold (so it doesn’t have so much flavor). And it has a cool label.

Tried one of these not too long ago. No big deal, tasted cheap. This was the beer of men who wore Timex watches, lit Camels with a Zippo lighter and carried a .38 In those days, if you heard your phone ring, it was because you were either in or near the house. It wasn’t on your belt. Try this stuff for a retro experience.

tried this 2 different times YEARS ago ! I think there was just something bad both times? Like Beyond skunking... Anyway.... I seen this in bottles in my local liquor store and said ’ I’ve gOT to try this" one more time ! Well , I think I might have a NEW favorite for a while... It says on the packaging " 1960’s recipe " I definately give it a thumbs up ! I would describe it as kinda like budwieser with a shot os sam adams... A definate light hops taste , no after taste. I don’t care for sam adams, it gets sickening after 3-4

This beer is better than Budweiser, but that isn’t saying much, but that’s all I can say about it. We weren’t missing much when the original recipe got thrown out the window 50 yrs ago.

Usual macro aroma but poured into a pint glass forming a decent head. Lacing surprised me. Hops and yeast dominate the taste and the finish is clean with a mild hoppy aftertaste. I will drink a few of these on a hot day.

It’s not supposed to be a microbrewed IPA or Stout, so you can’t rate it as such. One of the most refreshing and best tasting pale lagers money can buy. If you’re thirsty, go for the gusto!
