Presentation: It was poured from a 24oz can into a big mug. The can has the abv (8.5%) and a freshness date of "JUL1111" printed on the bottom. Appearance: The body had a light yellow color with very good clarity. This was a lighter than I was expecting but not out of place. On top the tall three finger head of bright white foam settles down to thin cap which actually hangs on well. Lacing is minimal and very slick. Smell: It is fairly light with pale cereal grain, grassy hay like hops and minimal sweet corn/vegetable notes. Taste/Palate: The flavor matches the aroma exactly with a fairly dry finish and offers it up in a light-medium body with smooth but lively carbonation. Notes: It’s surprisingly light and drinkable.

Not smooth at all, 1.50 for a 24 oz can of pure pain. This is your typical burning malt liquor.

Pours mediam gold with a frothy nearwhite head. Aromas of wheat, corn and a slight amount of fruit. Full bodied; creamy carbonation. Flavor is pretty clean, lightly sweet, and there’s a slight touch of light stone fruit in the finish. Not much heat. Just rated Earthquake HGL, and this is even better. :)

Sometimes, when you go to the ends of the earth to pick up a new rating, you come along treasures such as this. $3.49 per 4 pack of8.5% ABV tallboys. Aroma-wise, it actually smelled slightly Belgian. Good, rampant golden bull on the can. Latin inscription behind bull, adding class to the beverage and earning the appearance a solid 2. Lord knows I’m not going to pour this into a glass for fear of etching. Metallic, fuddled tasting - not too bitter. Medium body, musty aftertaste. Stands proudly with similar malt liquor offerings. Bill’s Ghetto-mart, South Magnolia.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2010 24 Oz can..I have no idea why i bought this! Appearance just the typical yellow lager..large bubbly white head. Aroma..raw bread dough, with a small amount of nail varnish remover.. Taste..is kinda sweet, like sour apples though toned down..like an Apple Jolly Rancher. Some grainy bitterness slightly tempers the sweet/sour near the end..and hangs around unleasantly..as an alcohol like burn in the throat. Palte thin and unconvincing. hey what can i say its a Bums beer.

Clear gold, thick frothy white head. Aroma of sulfur, corn, moldy cheese. Taste is bad, weak, watery. Bad as expected.

I would concur with the VSL label, but after that this ML does not do much for me. The taste is has a hint of ’fuel’ in it and it goes down fairly smooth. The ABV becomes apparent rather quickly - especially if not drunk with any food. The stuff is cheap - $0.50 per 16 ozer.

Aroma is rubbing alcohol and synthetics. Flavor is not quite as bad. Mostly non-descript. Not good, but I’ve had worse.
