2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tallboy into a pint glass. Pours hay with no real head. Corny aroma. Taste is cereal and corn. Definitely inferior to Schlitz OML. Still fairly smooth and crisp, but the booze definitely cuts through.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can. Pours a lively yellow with a nice white head and an aroma of corn flakes and wheat bread. Tastes like watery vegetable with a slight malt finish accompanied by stale corn syrup. Watery yet buttery-slippery mouthfeel. The alcohol is well-hidden. For a cheap malt liquor, itís not bad.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear medium yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (grain, cereal, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of alcohol and metal.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky, slightly unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Aye, ítis a simple adjuncty beer but hey, thereís hops in here, and itís not nearly as filthy as a great many in this genre. If you want to swill on something cheap just to get wrecked, this would be a reasonable option.

Going for the good stuff here - a tall boy can, called a "high gravity lager" on the label. I recall the old Schlitz, the beer that made Milwaukee famous, but that brewery is long gone. This stuff is made by Miller, who must have purchased the name. The brew looks pretty good - gold color with a decent head. Bland aroma with a hint of motor oil. Fairly sweet, cornlike flavor with a touch of herbs. The high alcohol content is masked well. It is not flavorless or burdened with a metallic taste the way some cheapo beers are. This stuff is not too bad, actually - it exceeded my low expectations.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Super pale gold with a medium bright white head that is quickly and mostly diminishing. Aroma of tart, hard apple cider and fusel alcohol - very strange. Mild grain alcohol and slight apple flavor. Low carbonation, smooth palate. Finish is mildly sour with wheat and hay notes. Alcohol noticeable at tail end of finish, but not overly so. A rather subdued malt liquor, surprisingly drinkable (read: not horrible).

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours golden with white head. Aroma and taste have plenty of malts with ample sweetness - corn. Overall not an awful beer, it can only get as good as the price of the can. Just nothing I would buy.

slightly apple smell....taste is also of slight apples and a little bit of sweetness...finish is a little more harsh like a malt liquor normally is...almost tastes like a light cider and malt liquor were mixed...better than straight malt liquor though!

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2009 Picked this up while my wife was in the restroom at some gas station in Atlanta. This is absolutely not what I expected at all whatsoever. I figured it would be a run of the mill too sweet, too grainy, too alcoholic malt liquor. I was surprised to find out it was basically none of these things (besides being a malt liquor, this fact can not be contested)
Pours a light translucent gold (of course) with a small tight head that surprisingly sticks around, but leaves little to no lace (of course) Aroma left much to be desired I detected nothing special or pleasant about it, fairly run of the mill sweet malt, sort of soapy Malt liquor, with some alcohol aromas. But the taste is what really took me by surprise, I initially tasted what seemed to be a muscat grape character, balanced well with a good dryness that protects this one from being way too malty sweet! It is in no way complex, but interesting no doubt. The texture of this beer was somewhat remarkable as it was velvety smooth without a trace of alcoholic bite. I canít say Iíd drink a lot of this, but I will certainly buy it again just for the experience. It is no doubt a very smooth, and a very surprising Lager.
