Can @ Timbers, Denver. Pours golden with a white head, loads of ībig bubblles along the glassides. Aroma is bread, sugar, alcohol, cardboard. Taste is malt, sugar, corn, alcohol. Thin body, lively carbonation. 190212

Can (didnít have a paper bag handy!). Iím embarrassed to review this but needed the style towards getting all 73. The color was light gold. The flavor was malty sweet with little flavor or aroma. Definitely strong, though the alcohol taste isnít prevalent. Leaves a slightly sweet and sour aftertaste.

24 oz can from NH Cumberland Farms, because this crazy gangsta can was too much to pass by. Sweet malty ad corn syrup aroma does an okay job covering the high test backbone of the beer. Looks like many lighter lagers. Tastes candy sweet with a hint of rotten apples, and of course alcohol. It is slick but sharp, with a crisp and drying finish . When I saw it the assumption was that it would rate terribly here, but this oneís not bad. There are far worse malt liquors out there, and most of them of from the state of Wisconsin as well.

(can - 24 oz) Gold pour with a fizzy head. Overly sweet corn and malt aroma. Flavor is sweet, like most malt liquors, with a much too sweet and alcohol finish.

Jacksonville, Fl. - Kangaroo Convenience Store - somewhere off of I-295. Big, mean looking black 24 oz can. Light golden pour, with a pithy white head. Slight wet paper bag aroma with some grassy notes and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is not as deplorable as expected - this is not your Dad’s malt likkah from the ’70s. Some syrupy sweetness of course, but misses that that clenching texture and flavor that many MLs have. Hint of honey sweetness with a heavy alcohol back end. While not harsh - definitely not for the faint of heart or stomach. Like its moniker - VSL - all in all a very smooth lager.

Pale golden with a fast fading white head. Aroma is lightly sweet with a bit of corn character as well. There may even be a kiss of earthy hop character. Lightly fruity flavour. Itís not all that bad really. May be one of the better of the high gravity ones.

After a real bad day, finding that I am reduced to scraping change out my car door, I bought one. Not a lager, but it made the rest of my day go better. If short on funds I would do it again.

Can: Clear golden pour with a strong well retained white film of head. Corn syrup and fusels dominate the nose. Sweet dextrose and honey- very sweet. The body has creamy carbonation- actually a fairly rounded palate, but with a sweet flavor. Lots of corn syrup, fusels, some dough notes. Itís actually quite clean, but with nearly no bitterness to balance the maltose. Itís drinkable when ice cold, but other than that itís just another fusel-ridden and overly sweet malt liquor.

Has a bit of a fruity scent, clean taste with a bit of an alcohol aftertaste...not bad for a malt liquor
