24 ounce can picked up in a sleazy liquor store on Chicagoís southwest side - More drinkable than many a malt liquor. Canít fault the looks, a bright pale lager yellow with a creamy head that hangs around quite a while. Rather soft aroma - a grainy sweetness and creamed corn. Hot on the tongue, the only time the alcohol really presents itself until burping later on. The taste matches the nose, except that a touch of tin is added at the finish. If further in the dumps than I am today, I could see drinking a forty-ouncer of this out of a brown paper bag. Provided it was real, real cold when I bought it.

From a 24 oz. can. The body is medium gold. Urinal cakes are unpleasant enough to smell in the bathroom, even more so when that smell is in your beer. Besides urine, there is also some cake donut. The taste is sweet artificial honey flavored candy with some nasty notes of cologne. A nice diesel fuel finish complements this joy.

Can.. this brew poured an amberish yellow with a slightly explosove head. The aroma is huge on the corn, and chemically alcoholic. The flavor is a bit soapy, heavy on the corn/filler malts sweetness. I have had much better malt liquor.

Clear gold, thick frothy white head. Aroma of sulfur, corn, moldy cheese. Taste is bad, weak, watery. Bad as expected.

Tons of bread throughout the aroma and flavor. This beer feels heavy. Bread and yeast with a bite of alcohol. I donít know if this is better than Schlitz malt liquor options or not. The pro is the higher alcohol and the con is the harsher flavor.

a fairly good looking beer, very bubbly, clear yellow quickly dissipating white head. nose of grain and sweet malt. the flavor is grainy and sweet. the corn syrupy sweetnes becomes cloying in the finish. another macro clunker in a 24 oz can. even after warming, still cloyingly sweet. some kind of metallic aftertaste after a while.

24 oz. can. Pours pale gold with white frothy head. Aroma is corny pale malt, mild hopcitrus. Tastes pretty horrid, primarily of corny pale malt, plus late hops and some metallic thiols which gets very sticky and offputting the more it warms. I didnít finish this one, and poured about 16 ounces down the drain.

Wow, this is classy. Bright golden color with a very artificial seeming foamy head. Funky nose was somewhat soapy and very grainy. Flavor was soapy with a weird fruitiness, somewhat appley, I guess there is a lot of acetaldehyde? The VSL label seems accurate enough as it does have a smooth almost slick finish. Mildly fizzy mouthfeel. Finish is grainy and harsh, fusel. Somewhat comparable to euro strong lagers but this one has a poor fermentation profile.Coming back to it - I didn’t drink it fast enough and as the beer warmed it developed a terrifically horrid grainy fuselly bite in the finish that is easily compared to garbage and dishwater.
