Iím a mind to always try different malt liquors, gotta try them all, maybe thereís one out there that isnít a total retch-fest... so, I get this flown up to the arctic on my tri-annual LCBO cargo-liquor shipment (oh god, those air freight bills...) and open its cappy goodness up and pour it into a glass once slightly warmed; well, it has a decent solid foamy head at least. The body is a bright yellow with heavy carbonation. The aroma is sugar and apple cider. The flavour is some caramel harshness followed by sweetness and a cloying finish. This could be a lot worse, but of course, that doesnít mean itís good.

Tasted direcly from can before adding the remainder to a chili recipe. Fairly neutral aroma, except for faint fermented corn flakes. Flavor lacks any malt sweetness or hops bitterness, all thatís left is a light-medium body, fizzy, harsh mouthfeel. This beverageís appeal must be entirely nostalgia.

Aroma of cereal malt, scent of alcohol. Taste of sweet malt, a bit of hops, not bad in general.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
A malty taste.
I had low expectations for this beer, but it exceeded by expectations.
A dark golden color with a thin head that fades quickly.
Sweet, but not overly sweet for a malt liquor.
Not a bad aftertaste.

Had this in a can - well, itís what was available. Aroma is weak, wan and malty. It pours a very uninspiring clear pale yellow; at least the white head is fairly thick. Flavor is malty and a little fruity, actually better than I expected but still not much. Then again, I have been spoiled rotten by craft brews. Texture is smooth but hardly fizzy at all - Iíve drunk soymilk that left more of a tingle. I guess you have to drink swill occasionally so you can better appreciate the real stuff.

12oz can. Pours golden clear with a foamy white head. If there ever was a brew to be compared to urine, this would sure be a top contender. Aroma is of rubbing alcohol. I swear to god, smelling this burned out my nose hair. There is also some corn and dusty malt. Booze as well. This smells very boozy. Taste is of watery corn, alcohol, and awful malt. Lingering taste of alcohol and despair. I canít think of a another malt liquor that made me sad to drink it. The Plan 9 from Outer Space of malt liquor.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A: The beer pours a clear golden color with a short lived but initially towering white head.
S: Smells pretty much exclusively like corn. Very sweet on the nose as there is plenty of sugar, corn syrup, and apple juice. A bit of white grape juice in there too. Very minimal grain aroma.
T: The white grape juice is much more pronounced on the flavor, but this one is still all about the corn. Thereís a bit more corn flavor for good measure and then some corn syrup and sugar. A touch of a chemical flavor at times.
M: The body is light, but on the heavier side for malt liquor, with a moderate carbonation.
D: Pretty middle of the road as far as malt liquors go. Once is probably enough for this one.

Not only did I try this for the tick, but I drank all 40 oz of it. Not much more to say than anyone else here.
