This is actually better than the regular Schlitz lager. It’s not a great beer but I can drink it. A very heavy body for the style. The Blue Bull has more hop character than most malt liquor as well; which is to say almost enough to notice.

24 oz can to pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks decent for the style; a transparent gold with white head. Smells and tastes doughy and a bit skunky with an average (at best) mouthfeel. Maybe a bit of corn too. Not good, but not as bad as its scores suggest.

Tallboy courtesy of Homer321. Pours a crystal clear dark golden color with big white fluffy head. Aroma is light, semi sweet, lager yeast character, very mild corn. Flavor is fairly mild for a likka, very low corn adjunct character, slight astringency in finish and a touch of alcohol. Not the best but certainly not the worst likka I’ve had.

24oz bottle. This was my go to malt liquor in the day. Always tastes better in a glass container. Probably one of the better tasting malts out there.

946ml bottle. Clear pale yellow body, small white head, poor retention. Aroma of wet cardboard, skunk, herbs, metallic notes. Taste is strongly medicinal, sour, grains, herbs, cooked vegetables. Nasty!

Pure corn & sugar adjunct beer with a pungent grainy nose that smells like flat beer. Actually goes down fairly smooth although it gets stronger into the beer and I forced myself to finish it.

comprada en un supermercado de la Florida probando algo nuevo, olor a oxido y al paladar agua con un ligero amargo que parece al lupulo, un buen catador de cervezas debe de probar estas ’cosas’ tambien

Massive 24oz beast at the thunderbird malt likka tasting. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose is grass, sulphur, chlorine, turps, tinned fruit and lighter fluid. The taste is grainy, sweet pale malt, corn, burnt butter, white sugar, tinned peach and metal with a sweet finish. Mediumish body and high carbonation. Nasty nose, partially better taste. Best so far.

16 oz. can from drowland- thanks, Dr. Owl! Pours a clear gold color with a huge, frothy eggshell white head. Notes of grass, pale malts, sugar, corn, and straw. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, malty mouthfeel. Not nearly as bad as the VSL.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
16oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of sweet sugar water, rotten apples and a little metal. Taste is light sweet. Sugar water and cotton candy. Full bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. A little on the plain side, but still drinkable.
