Can. Very pale gold beer. Crisp palate. Mild malt with a subtle tone of corn. A little metallic edge and virtually no hops. Utterly bland and a little offensive.

(Can, provided by Bhops) Pours a pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of corn, grain, and metallic. Flavor of metal and grain with watery mouthfeel and dry, bitter finish. Claude what have done to deserve this punishment?

Been looking for this for years. Finally got a bottle from Half Time. Pours pale gold with a 3 finger creamy/foamy white head. Smells bready. Tastes lightly sweet/bready but there actually seems to be a bit of hop present. Definitely better than many pale lagers, especially the Rheingold I just rated. Schlitz even seems to have some spicy hop.

Can. Light clear pale color with a minimal frothy white head that mostly diminished with virtually no lacing. Light grass hop aroma. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a sweet finish of short duration. More drinkable than my expectations.

Ya it sure is a nice old style can. But the beer.... is not real beer. Well Schaefer is worse...though that is not much of a comfort. From 1957-1976 Schlitz was the 2nd largest brewer in the U.S., 4th in 1980, 2 years before it went totally out of business and was aquired by Stroh, which itself was bought by Pabst in 1999. Now brewed on licence by Miller. Very thin yellowish colour, no head at all, uncomfortable aroma, bad taste....harsh and nasty. Dirt cheap brew. Once upon a time this beer was actually brewed in a good way...that is some 30 years ago when Schlitz was an independent brewer.

Someone should find their signature yeast cultures and spray them with RoundUp.
