1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
This stuff actually tasted good, smooth, and sweet for 5 or 6 cans, and then the "hops" strange as it may sound, turned into a pukey-burnt sort of flavor. And that wierd fact alone causes the bad rating. even though this is billed as the beer that made Milwaukee famous, I have heard citizens of Milwaukee proper preferred PBR over the Schlitz in a big way. I can see why.PBR is definitely the better old MIL cheap-ass Macro.

I recall buying this since it was so cheap and Iím pretty sure I drank an entire 12pack once and just peed all night and felt bloated.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
It is hard to be objective when rating this, because in college, it was the # 1 beer in America, and I agreed. Then the recipe changed, and that was it. Now it tries to make a comeback, but Iíve moved so far beyond the modest expectations of the original, that I donít know how to treat it. It was instrumental in getting me started, so it deserves at least a 2.2.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Basic adjunct lager with a bit of extra malt and grain in the bill. Not a great beer, but a good buy. A little cheaper than your BMC and little more taste. Itís not going to blow anyone away, but based on itís reputation, youíd think it was undrinkable. Itís not undrinkable. Busch is undrinkable. Schlitz is fine if youíre on a budget or want a pale adjunct lager. Must have changed things up from the days when the brand got ruined back in the day.
