MiP (4843), Flensburg, Germany May 11, 2008 Bottle, 5.4%. Sweaty, burnt aroma. Clear amber colour. The flavour is quite sweet, from the honey, I guess. Also a little sweat notes. Could be worse. Honey aftertaste.
sebletitje (187), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2008 50cl bottle
Pours amber/copper. Light white head.
Aroma is lightly smokey, herbal with some caramel notes.
Taste is filled with honey, dark fruits (cherry / prunes). Could note some licorice and a sirupy finish with the honey.
Not a bad brew.
TaxiDriver (456), Stadland, Germany Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Light malty and bitter smell. Small white creamy head, rather fast disappearing, dark red-brown body. Heavy sweet and light bitter taste, a strong taste of honey, medium duration. Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation and a light metallic finish. Not my taste. yespr (6000), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 2, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a diminished head. Earthy and malt aroma. Flavour is sweet malty with a light sugarish and caramel malt flavour mix. Ends medium sweet and with a light caramel malt note. Terrible aroma, yet decent flavour. Allen (516), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Feb 2, 2008 Bottled 50cl. It pours a deep golden beer with a dense slightly tanned head. The nose is of honey, molasses, caramel and melon accompanied by a strong metallic touch. Sticky. The taste is sweet, metallic with a lot of honey. Some alcohol and marshmallows before the finish which has hints of caramel, wax and tree sap.
