Classy stuff.......... MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 10, 2008 (swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, mahogany colour with a big and slowly lacing beige foamy head. Earthy, sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel, dried prunes and smokey notes far in the background. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toasty and slightly burnt malty taste with caramel and vague notes of dark cacao and a whiff of smoke towards the finish. Quaffable and delicately smoked Dunkel (06.07.08). bu11zeye (3656), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 9, 2007 (Bottle, BB 12/01/08) Pours a brown body with a moderate beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, brown sugar, and hard water. Flavor of raisins, caramel, and nuts. Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 3, 2007 Draft. A hazy nut-brown beer with a lazing thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of brewmash, nuts, and caramel, as well as hints of sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts and caramel, but it also has an acidic and phenolic bite to the tongue - I guess this is a brewing flaw.
