Bottle,Thanx to Mr.Rask fore the delivery: Clear red/coppery colur with a nice creamy head. Aroma had a sweet maltynes, and a caramelly/fruity finish. Flavor is almost the samecaramelly, and sweet maltyness, dry hopy finish. Medium body and medium dry bitter finish. Well done!

Clear cinnamon color with a temporary tan head. A soft fruity hop aroma with caramel. A very sessionable beer. Nice fruit and light spice. Just a bit of hop zing. Very light bitterness. The fruit is very pleasant passion fruit. The beer offers nice sweetness. Some metal is a negative. Again, this would make a great session beer. It is very tasty and refreshing.

Bottle from the Bayou. I’m still not sure what the whole Whiskey malt thing is. Anyway, pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is light honey, rich malts. A flavor of straw, light sweet honey, dry and not really enjoyable. Different, but odd. Almost like a malt liquor.

Bottle 33cl. A pale amber beer. Smell is heavy on bottom yeast (hazelnut) and metallic. Aroma is very low, low on malt, low body, low on whiskey malt, some caramel notes and very bitter specially at the finish. No hop character, very disappointing beer.

F-king cool find at THE RHINO BAR Toronto. Deep flavorful pale and red malts, finishes with a crisp malty taste accented by some lemon and grassy hops, bready and full-palate to the extreme. Ballsy beer.

330ml bottle. Coppery to red in colour with a flat even head, reasonably clear. Smoky malt aromas are present but are not very strong and the aroma lets this beer down a bit. Mild smokiness in the flavour that is not overpowering but you can taste it.

This is a lightish lager is designed to display the qualities of the malt used. Unfortunately, though mildly interesting, the malt is nothing to write home about. It has a a slightly drier texture and grainier aroma than non-whisky malts; that’s about how far it goes. Past that, it’s a decent czech/german style light lager with a hefty price tag. Try a bottle if you’re curious what whisky malt is about, then let it rest forevermore.
