Sparkling gold, thin head, constant carbonation. Very appealing floral, winey, & woodsy aroma, plus maybe a slight scent of pears. Crisp flowery hop flavors to start. Thickish mouthfeel. Peppery through the taste with a slight hint of malty sweet at the finish. I really did not pick any smoked or whiskey flavors, it was more like a drier than normal triple. Tasty, nonetheless.

Sampled from bottle at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#16).
Light yellow beer with a fine white head. Sweet malty and a little fruity aroma. Flavor is also sweet and malty with a weak tone of smoke underneath. Very sweet and somwhat cloying and way too anonymous smoke notes.

Typical golden lager color with medium head. Whisky-malty, sweetish aroma. Sweet, malty, quite original flavor. Quite sweet, medium to full-bodied, oily and port-wineous palate. Quite nice and different - and definitely better than any whisky I’ve tasted.

Clear amber appearance with an evolving aroma that smells like it could have been aged in whiskey barrels. Malty and earthy, with a lingering sweetness that avoids being cloying. Straining to find the qualities associated with it being a smoked beer.

Pale golden, slightly peaty aroma. Sweet malt, touch of peat, thickish mouthfeel. Very straightforward with a lightning quick finish.

Aroma is burbon and pears. Appearance is a dark golden color with little head. Flavor is whiskey, citurs, and caramel. Its a bit on the sweet side. The mouthfeel is fairly thin. Some smoke notes are detectable in the aftertaste. Overall a good sippin beer but nothing that special.

Amber color with a smallish white head. Yummy malt aroma. Nice roasted malt flavor that nicely masks the 7.3%. Very smooth finish. Tasted of some sort of black liquor in the end.
