Semi-sweet nose with some metallic notes. Flavor has more of the sweet flavor, some light fruit notes and a touch of alcohol. If there was any hint of peated malt, it’s long gone. chmurarz (402), Raciborz now Legnica, Poland

Medium body with very mild, creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, slightly smoky. Reminiscent of Adelscot, but likely lighter. A little heat is detectable in the finish, which is lightly sweet. Ok, but not to die for. GRM (1253), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Bottle-Deep copper with a small white head. Aromas are smokey malts and dark fruits with toffee and dark rye. This is a sweet smoked beer. Its got plenty of smokey caramel flavours with a rye and spice component. Finishes with the sweet aftertaste of clover and honey. I’d say a bit too sweet. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Rich honey/pale malt aroma with a touch of hops and perhaps some smoke. Rich malt flavor supported with spicey noble hops, a bit of peat/smoke, and some alchohol warming. Very full creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.Finishes with a sticky malt sweetness and a light lingering hop bitterness. Very very tasty! nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2008 33 cl. Small, but creamy and lasting head above the orange-copper, mostly clear body. Spicy toffee and earthy corn aroma. Initial taste is spicy toffee, turns to a grilled corn and finally to an earthy smoked, lightly soured orange honey. The light bittering hops provide just enough mint-flavored balance at the end, combined with the faint touch of alcohol that shows up about halfway through the glass. Medium body is creamy, has a small tingle and finishes dry. Some tightwire-walking with some delicate flavors here; this one seems like a hybrid lager-ale in some ways. Don’t know if that’s what they were going for, but it really seems like a nice cross between a Vienna lager and a Scotch Ale.
