Not a whole lot going on with the flavor. Just a very clean, drinkable beer with a nice malty sweetness. Very refreshing. McGarnigle (307), Rochester, New York, USA

Medium bodied with low carbonation. Rich malty taste with some slight whiskey notes. Slightly smoky. A little honey too. A good cold-weather beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Clear gold with a thin white head. Extremely strong, sweet malty nose - smells like a brew day. Where is the smoke? I can’t detect it. The label says this is a red - um, what? Anyway, disregarding the nomenclature, the flavor is big and malty, a bit of fruitiness and honey. Medium-full body, very smooth. Nice, but nothing to get excited about... wait - $4??? I think I got taken. yngwie (4934), Kristiansand, Norway
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Bottle, thx papsoe. A clear, yellow-golden beer with a white head leaving some lacings. Sweet and malty nose with some alcohol, but I didn’t trace any whisky-inspired aromas. Sweet and malty flavor too, and also here there were some alcohol. There’s some fruityness as well, but not much hoppy bitterness were detected. Full, warming mouthfeel, and a finish with some bitterness. A drinkable and somehow enjoyable beefed-up eurolager. Good? Well... (080112) blankboy (3201), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size white head. Aroma’s sweet and grainy with a hint of whiskey. Mild, overly sweet flavour of yeast, sweet malt, alcohol and light grassy hops. Weak body. Meh, this is ’alright’ at best.
