Bottle. Clear golden-orange body with a white creamy head. Sweet grain aroma with some mild smokiness. The flavour is grainy and sweet and very subdued. Weak.

2008-02-01. Bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Alcohol and muted sweet whiskey notes. Surprisingly mild flavour, dilute grainy malt, muted whiskey notes. Average to thin palate. Meh.

this is an interesting if bit of a different brew. the facts as i see it is that this beer has a pleasant and light sweetness infused to a superior and not overpowering malt character that is somewhat complex with good malts of barley and infused with a honey like vanilla character. above that adequate concentration is a beer imbibers and quality hop character that is quite present and wrapped up nicely in this classy little brews finish. nice alcohol content and smooth this quaff is something that i look upon with a bit of admiration. this is good beer.

My husband loves whisky, but even he was disappointed by this one. It’s round, full and has a cloying sweetness and clear notes of alcohol. The finish has a moderate bitterness. In our opinion it’s without complexity and subtle notes.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle at Casper’s Christmas Cracker.
Very clean paturised looking dark gold with a thin white head. Hardcore sweet unbrewed malt completely takes over the aroma with some very slight grassy hops in the background. Nasty, sickly malt flavour with a tonne of caramel. Thick and nasty on the palate. Far from a great beer.

Bottle with Mes & tashi. Aroma is a malt assault! Malty and undistinguished.

Very smoky aroma, tastes really strong and dry, maybe a liitle bit too much. Nevertheless a drinkable and good beer.

[Bottle] Pours dark golden with a very small off-white head that quickly disappears completely. Aroma is pretty bad at first, but as it warmed maltiness and a bit of smoke became evident. A little sweet up front, once again some smoke. Medium body. Alright finish. It’s ok--nothing really leaves me too impressed with it though.
