Bottle 330 ml from Austria. Amber colored, malty sweetish. Alcohol not really subtle. Didn’t like it.

Dark amber pour with a small white head. Aromas of sweet biscuit malt and caramel. Flavor is pretty similar, very sweet. Slight smoke in the finish but it’s subtle. Decent but a bit one-dimensional.

Pours bubbled, weak brown with a minimal, off-white head. Strong breadiness, grain aroma. Taste is sweet....malt and breadheel, a hint of salt. Very light smokiness...more in aftertaste... Seems a little off.

Malty aroma. Amber color with medium white head. Tastes sweet and a lot like raisins. Body is light and texture is oily. Carbonation average with short finish. Overall, it’s an above average beer which matches nuts very good.

Bottle @ a recent bottle share... Poured amber golden with a slightly off-white head. Earthy with some peated and smoked tones. Sweet but not cloying as it had a thinner mouthfeel than expected. Drinkable, but I wouldn’t say it was totally smooth. Dark fruits and anise spicing came through too.

Back at the turn of the century this was sold here when I first started drinking something that wasn’t Pil. Found the bottle in the basement - 7.3%. Wasn’t a fan back then of the Shloss line. Icky brown floaty stuff with a foamy, sticky head. Weak aroma. Really really weak. Grass, grainy toasted crusts. Too bad the crusts were not stronger cuz they are good. The tate has improved after leaving this on the table for an hour. Malty and malty. Light grain power, meh - I’m done with this. Very disappointing to see this come out of the box.

Bottle. Pours copper with exceptional clarity. White head that dissipates quickly. Yeasty, bready, earthy aroma. Some hop aroma, but not much. Caramel, biscuit, malt in the flavor. Not very complex. Medium mouthfeel. I like it, but it’s not over complex or interesting.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
