Tap. Golden yellow with a very thin film head. Aroma has apples, elderflowers and some malts. Taste is a little weak (but perhaps it has been poured a bit too cold?). Slightly citric, smoky and vinious.

I have no idea how this can be placed under smoked? Anyway aroma is typical of the brewery, somethign that i cant fully to discribe rather than say like candyflossed scrambled egg? Taste starts a little harsh maybe as im trying to hard to find the whisky, and ill be honest i first had a small hint but now im about a 1/3rd through the beer and its gone along with the alcohol which has haunted all the beers iv had from these felllows. I get some creamy balanced lagered sweet malts and a little floural hops. A good strong lager/bock or whatever the hell its ment to be. Or maybe its a style thats still to be found just like nessie herself, hehe.

Pours a transparent deep golden with a thin white head. Has a sweet full caramel and peaty malty aroma with a touch of noble hops. Starts with a semi-sweet, somewhat full malty flavor thinning some toward the mildly smoked finish. Seems like a confused mix between a strong German lager and a Scotch ale. Still an interesting brew.

discribed on the label as a bockbier made with whisky malt - clear golden-orange colour, few head, alcohol, butter and caramel aroma, sweet, very malty, dry bitter alcohol finish - well-balanced

Well its not really what i expected, slight smoky flavour, bittersweet flavour, hint of whiskey in the finish, not too bad.

Yellow/ golden colour with small white head. Aroma is malty with some alcohol. Flavor is malty, some sweetness and alcohol is also in the taste. Finish is dry.

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Sweetish strong Lager aroma with a tiny hint of whiskey malts. Sweet flavour and taste, alcohol comfortably hidden, sweet & molassy malty taste with a slight hint of smokiness in the finish. Drinkable but disappointing for me personally.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Extremely little smokiness. Sweet and rather malty flavour. Rather thin and very boring.
