Very sweet, slightly malty nose with hints of the alcohol. The color is orange and it has a small but very fast disappearing head. The flavor is malty sweet with notes of smoke and a little whisky - it even has a little burn on the back of the tongue as a whisky - quite unique. In the end it turns dry with a dominating note of wood. The palate is quite good. All in all a very interesting beer.

Aroma is burbon and pears. Appearance is a dark golden color with little head. Flavor is whiskey, citurs, and caramel. Its a bit on the sweet side. The mouthfeel is fairly thin. Some smoke notes are detectable in the aftertaste. Overall a good sippin beer but nothing that special.

Clear amber appearance with an evolving aroma that smells like it could have been aged in whiskey barrels. Malty and earthy, with a lingering sweetness that avoids being cloying. Straining to find the qualities associated with it being a smoked beer.

Light clear looking brew. Big malty flavor with a spicey finish. Vanilla notes in the flavor. Malty aroma. Pleasant and drinkable.

Light copper with a small white head. Aroma is sweet - brown sugar, banana, maybe a touch of clove and some yeast. Flavor is a bit fruity - kind of tasted like over-ripened apples, but this fades into a somewhat grassy, dry finish, with some anise notes. Mouth feel is a bit syrupy, but the alcohol is well masked. to me, it kind of tastes like a maibock in some respects.

this is an interesting if bit of a different brew. the facts as i see it is that this beer has a pleasant and light sweetness infused to a superior and not overpowering malt character that is somewhat complex with good malts of barley and infused with a honey like vanilla character. above that adequate concentration is a beer imbibers and quality hop character that is quite present and wrapped up nicely in this classy little brews finish. nice alcohol content and smooth this quaff is something that i look upon with a bit of admiration. this is good beer.

Pours a dirty amber color with off-white head that fades quickly. Malty aroma of honey and peat with some light toffee accents. Thin bodied with a flavor of malts, honey, a bit of alcohol and some breadiness. Well deserving of a try and a higher average score.

Clear orange-amber colour with white head. Smoky aroma with funk malt. Good flavour- very malty with alcoholic aftertones. I quite like it.
