Schön goldene Farbe, lediglich der Schaum macht sehr schnell die Biege. Der Duft ist leicht fruchtig, wird aber sehr vom Malz dominiert.
Geschmacklich sehr weich, malzig. Honigartige Fruchtaromen.

A rating from an old notebook. Bottle. Golden with a fluffy white head. A cloying sweetness with hot alcohol, no smoke perceptible. Seems more like an upmarket version of a super strength tramp lager to me.

Soft and pleasant taste. Maybe a bit whisky-like, but not much. Somewhat watery.

14k gold pour. White head. Smoke? Barely. More toffee, overripe fruit and butter than anything. Flavor is sweet and lots of butter and fruit. The smoke flavor is barely noticeable. Not so great. Not even good.

Im Glas sieht dieses Bier nahezu perfekt aus, unter der feinporigen Schaumkrone verbirgt sich ein dunkelgoldenes Gebaräu, dass frisch, süßlich und malzig riecht. Ich trinke das Bier natürlich gekühlt, dennoch wirkt es, sobald es den Mundraum berührt, wärmend und füllt den ganzen Mund, später auch den Magen mit einer angenehmen Wärme. Passt genau zum Winter. Der Antrunk gestaltet sich leicht malzig und alkoholisch, leider auch unpassend bitter. Anschließend ist es hopfig, wobei der bittere Geschmack weitestgehend bestehen bleibt. Beim Nachgeschmack muss ich Kindl zustimmen - etwas kratzig. Sicher kein Bombenbier, aber sehr interessant zu trinken.

Weird one cause there are different styles that this one seems to belong in, red ale, smoked, scottish ale, etc. very malty, sweet malt not bread malt, no hop characteristics. reddish brown color, transparent, small head. not a real standout.
