armando629 (232), Budapest, Hungary Apr 29, 2008 I expected more about that beer...So. On the lable was shown only 5% ABV alcohol(?). An orange color with a small head. Little smoked liqueric aroma. The taste was avarage, not a unique one with a little whiskey and some sweet malt and yeast. Sweet aftertaste. Aromas are smokey malts and dark fruits with toffee and dark rye. This is a sweet smoked beer. Its got plenty of smokey caramel flavours with a rye and spice component. Finishes with the sweet aftertaste of clover and honey. I’d say a bit too sweet. MaltDawg (39), Richmond, Virginia, USA Apr 21, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange/straw with almost no head. Rich honey/pale malt aroma with a touch of hops and perhaps some smoke. Rich malt flavor supported with spicey noble hops, a bit of peat/smoke, and some alchohol warming. Very full creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.Finishes with a sticky malt sweetness and a light lingering hop bitterness. Very very tasty! nearbeer (914), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Apr 6, 2008 33 cl. Small, but creamy and lasting head above the orange-copper, mostly clear body. Spicy toffee and earthy corn aroma. Initial taste is spicy toffee, turns to a grilled corn and finally to an earthy smoked, lightly soured orange honey. The light bittering hops provide just enough mint-flavored balance at the end, combined with the faint touch of alcohol that shows up about halfway through the glass. Medium body is creamy, has a small tingle and finishes dry. Some tightwire-walking with some delicate flavors here; this one seems like a hybrid lager-ale in some ways. Don’t know if that’s what they were going for, but it really seems like a nice cross between a Vienna lager and a Scotch Ale.
