IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 25, 2008 11.2 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose is sweet candi sugar with a small amount of banana esters and vanilla; pure clear gold with a small white head; flavor is very sweet with some vanilla, caramel, and very light banana and some alcohol that sweetly finishes! Nice thick body! Tastes like a cross between a mead, sake, and weisenbock! jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands Apr 22, 2008 Bottle@Home. Sweet apples and gin aroma. Yellow color, small diminishing off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, bitter, apples, very alcoholic and syrupy. Way too alcoholic actually. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Apr 21, 2008 Bottled(330ml). -The last avaliable Schloss Eggenberg beer. Vintage 2007.
Pours a clear golden colour with small white head and strong alcoholic malt nose. Toasted malt and strong sweet alcoholic taste and nothing else. The finish is also sharp alcoholic. Much too alcoholic to get more than 2.8. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Apr 19, 2008 Rating #1300:: 33cl bottle, Red and silver label. 14% ABV. This is the strongest Helles ever made! Pours the color of 24K gold. Aroma of a super hopped mead. Needs a bunch of age on it. Big bitterness, just in the nose. Flavor is hugely sweet. Burns a little as it goes down. Big ABV! Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured bright golden-orange with a soda-like fizz that quickly succumbed. The aroma is explosive ... full of medicinal qualities. This drinks like a punch in the mouth, a full assault of pure ethanol, tempered by super sweet fruit syrup. I’m afraid to breathe near an open flame. (#3380, 4/6/2008) charlotte (1997), Vanløse, Denmark Mar 31, 2008 Pale orange colour with no head.Aroma is sweet with strong heavy alc.To much i guess.Flavor of malt and caramel with a bitter finish. Dedollewaitor (3625), Odense, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Bottle: Pours orange with a off white bubbly head. Deep malty sweet & fruity aroma. Very warm, vinous, sticky & sweet. A bit harsh & the alcohol prickles your tongue. Medium bodied with a low carbonaion. Quite sippable! ILoveNewBeer (113), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 29, 2008 Updated: Nov 2, 2008Full bodied, and full flavored yet still quite mellow for having 14%. Slightly oily and makes your tongue feel like it has a slight bit of a coating.
Sweet taste with an alcohol proof that lingers in the back of your throat, can’t taste yet you can feel.
