daddyslick (36), Arizona, USA Mar 17, 2008 On one hand, I’m impressed with how clear the beer is, how much care the brewers need to go through to create this, and how well the beer hides it’s 14% alcohol. on the other hand, sadly the beer is novelty at best. Although it does finish with a sweet taste in your mouth, it was full bodied to the point where it requires sipping. I’m not sad that I tried it, but my first will be my last. shp555 (1680), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Mar 15, 2008 Pours clear copper color with no head. Aroma is malty, sugary, fruity, and alcohol. Flavor is sugary, figs, alcohol, and a bitter spicy finish. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Mar 14, 2008 Clear golden body with a small white lacing. Sweet fruity sugary aroma. Very sweet fruity flavor. Medium full body with medium carbonation. Sweeter than expected. carl4beer (394), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA Mar 13, 2008 pours clear and dark golden with a small head. aroma is of bread and fruit yeast with a bit of sweetness. mouthful is zesty with some fruit that comes through briefly only to be clobbered by the big alcohol bite. yummy but hot... corby112 (679), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2008 Pours a pink/ blush color with white head. Sweet aroma of alcohol, cherry and sugar. Very sweet tastin with cherry, grape, sugar cane and very strong alcohol presence. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 3, 2008 Ouch!!! This one isn’t much more than alcohol-infused white grape juice. Sugary sweet at every level. Golden maple syrup hits the glass but doesn’t conjure up even the most faint appearance of a head. Grape juice followed by an alcohol bomb hits the palate and is breathed out through the nose. Completely one-dimensional. If you are looking solely to get smashed and can choke this down, go for it!!! LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Mar 3, 2008 11.2oz bottle. Pours clear golden orangish with thin white head, which does not last long. Aroma sweet fruity, alcohol and malt. Taste of sweet honey and alcohol bite with dry finish. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Feb 25, 2008 I don’t get it. A second dopplebock ? Pours like blonde honey w/ a modest, shortlived froth. Aromas of sweet herbacious malt. Full nectar w/ creamy carbonation. Full on sweetness w/ very oldworld flavors of herbs, stems, farmhouse mold, vanilla cream, orange citrus, and medicine. Theres a defined tartness on the finish that helps balance yet allows the candy sweetness to breach through. It’s hard to imagine this has a 14 point abv. Well hidden.
