TBone (6678), Pori, Finland Feb 8, 2009 Bottled (vintage 2007).
Light amber-copper color, small white head. Caramelly ryeish malty nose. Very sweet, full body. Molasses, raisins, toffee .. soft sweet palate. Not as alcoholic as one may think. Alcohol comes in the aftertaste, when beer is warming in the stomage. Ryeish malty, sugary aftertaste with notes of lime candy. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Feb 6, 2009 Bottle shared by someone at RLB. Pours a deep honey copper and a thinning fizzy head. Aroma is super sweet, honey, lightly toasted malts, and lgihtly floral. Alcohol comes through a bit as it warms seems a bit too syruipy, honey, and floral, fusels, slight citrus twang in the end and a super sweet cloying finish. Meh. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Feb 3, 2009 It is orange-golden with a small head. The aroma has sweetness and notes of malt, peach and citrus. The flavour has a strong sweetness and notes of alcohol, malt, light raisin and candy sugar. The finish has notes of citrus combined with peppery alcohol. IMO the alcohol is very dominating, but in spite of that it has quite a nice balance. ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Feb 3, 2009 Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber, thin brief head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of stone fruits, toasted malts and subtle booze. Taste is toasted malts, caramel, candi sugar. VERY sweet, reminding me of iced tea, with of course we here in the Southern United States generally prepare as tea flavored sugar water. Anyway. Full bodied. zvikar (414), Tel-Aviv, Israel Jan 27, 2009 Orange juice with no head, aroma of pure alcohole and vanilla, grape juice cinnamon and vodka like alcohole. OK
