biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Dec 9, 2006 2005 bottle. Bold flavor at first. This is a very strong beer. Sweet and a pretty smooth drink for 14%, it took me a little while to settle in and really enjoy this one. Recommended. Theis (3617), Denmark Dec 5, 2006 Bottle ( 2004) at DTE - DØE-evening. Clear dark amber - no head. Sweet, candy, caramel, bread, cherry, light alcohol burn, smooth - very nice. (Portwine - Cherry....)
AZJayro (4), Phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Dec 4, 2006 Heavy, surupy feel, with an almost overpowering alcohol taste and smell. This is however a sweet beer, one I’d recommend to anyone looking for a different beer with high alcohol content. Diogène (543), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 3, 2006 Bottled in 2005. Pours a clear amber colour with a thin head that leaves quickly. Aroma is sweet and malty with figs and plums with some alcohol. Taste is very sweet, malty with lots of dark fruits and very little bitterness. Medium to full body with soft carbonation. johninmelb (688), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Dec 2, 2006 Strong and syrupy nose with some figs. Pours rich copper with no head. Flavour is sweet and rich with plenty of honey and malt and a subtly developing long finish of some cinnamon, ethanol, and more very sweet malt. An incredibly well-realised beer for the strength. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Nov 30, 2006 Updated: Jul 19, 2009Just too sweet! Poured with no head but a lovely caramel colour. The alcohol is quite apparent, as is the candi sugar thats obvious in the mouthful...I think thats the only criticism you could lay at this. a great sipper. One of the most unique beers ever.
