330ml bottle, 9.6% a/v Pours a bubble-less gold colour with a nice rich white head. Aroma is almost like malt liquor, bad memories of highschool days ;-). The taste is much more refined then those beers though. Very sweet off the start, with a very malty characteristic, thick and rich for a light beer. It is cloyingly sweet and is suited for sipping.

330mL bottle: Clear amber in color with tan bubbly head which quickly dissipated. Aroma is sweet, reminiscent of extra dose of malt. Flavor is initially sweet and very boldly, the malty flavor dominates giving way to fruity notes. Alcohol is very present throughout the tasting. The palate is syrupy and sharp. This is a good beverage meant to be slowly sipped with canape style food.

330ml bottle
9.60% ABV I tried this beer on March 12, 2008 after purchasing it from my one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured an orangy-gold colour into the glass with a 1/2 inch white head that quickly disappeared. The aroma was sweet malt, some caramel, and some grass. The mouthfeel was thin-bodied and medium carbonated. The flavour was sweet malt, with some milky hints. Not all that enjoyable a dopplebock.

pours clear golden with minimal white head. Aroma sweet and grainy. Flavour is sweet and malty. Very low carbonation, has nice creamy feel. Alright but not really my style, the sweetness and lack of carbonation or complex flavours didn’t work for me. Definately not a bad beer but not one of my favs

Pours totally clear orange color. Fruity aromas predominate: apricot and yellow plum mostly. Palate is slick, with low carbonation. Solid malt backbone with lot of residual sweetness, finishing with a clean hoppy ending.
