Pours a golen color with a thin white bubblie head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty. A strong alcohole aroma. Taste is sweet. slight hops presents.A lot of alcohol not much flavor.....

11.2oz bottle: poured into glass is amber with a hint of red had a decent head that went away pretty fast. aroma is sweet and can smell the alcohol. flavor is like a mixed drink of beer and whisky at about a 4:1 ratio had that kick like you just took a shot after every drink. i hate to rate so low but the ABV is not hidden so well as it could be and the flavor could be better. will add it has no off tastes just not enough flavor to cover the ABV and cant taste any hops.

Very sweet, grapey, Cognac-like with heavy alcohol and champagne-like carbonation and dryness in the finish. Bold, warming and despite what they say, fairly easy to drink!

Draught at Chef Paul’s in Lisle, IL. Nice, sweet aroma. Higher alcohol not evident in the nose. Somewhat hazy, light amber body with some visible carbonation and a large, somewhat lasting, frothy white head that coats the sides of the glass. Served in a tulip. Visible carbonation goes away by mid-glass. Alcohol presence that wasn’t detected through the aroma is very evident in the flavor. Sweet with vanilla and caramel notes. Similar in character to Dogfish Head’s Black and Blue, with Urbock beer being discernibly better. A really nice beer that is grossly underrated.

bottled. golden with a quick head. worrying aroma of golden syrup, chicken bones, fish sauce. weird mix of flavours - soy sauce, coconut cream, turmeric, vanilla. quite a light and lagery texture, hints of metallic hops, not very pleasant drinking

12oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with a very light white head that dissipates almost immediately. Heavy aromas of sweet fruit and alcohol with a slight hint of lemon. Flavor is of bitter hops and some fruit with a noticeable sweet finish. Has a light, crisp mouthfeel. Don’t drink more then a few.....strong stuff.

It smells of aged soy sauce approaching burned plastic or candle wax. Gold color, thin head. Surprisingly sweet flavor of honey and bourbon, with traces of grain on the edge. Smoke finish that is dominated by alcohol. Hairy mouthfeel. It seems more potent than it really is or should be. Not overly sweet, the sweetness just doesn’t fit very well. Poor balance, IMVHO.

has that eggenberg nose kinda sweet, sorta fruity, flavor is alcohol and sweet uhhm not really sure what the sweetness is, not much on the hops here and there isn’t really enough malts to balance things not huge on this one.
