Bottle. Pours a light amber with a quickly disapearing beige head. Aroma is sweet with some caramel, alcohol, light fruit. Body is thick and kind of oily with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, with some alcohol, some caramel, and a light burn with a hint of hops. Sometimes almost champagne like, the finish is lightly sweet and very alcoholic with some apple and caramel coming through. Kind of sticky, but not too bad. It’s okay, strong, sweet, and smooth.

Bottle - 330ml. Dark gold body with heavy carbonation and and average white frothy head. Fait malty/hoppy aroma with flowery and grassy hints. Its malty taste carries sweet, honeyish and hoppy notes. Ends with a good warming finish. Not a fantastic Bockbier. That one used to be one of my favorites when I was a late teenager, but maybe my taste was not that much developped...

Powerfully sweet aroma, some newly fermented applesauce jumbled with flowery perfume and sugary breads. It grabs your attention immediately. Crisp golden-orange pour with a collapsing head leaving little lace. Mouth feel is thick and viscous, finishes smooth and watery almost like the last half of a scotch on the rocks. The high abv provides a nice warming effect. Flavor is overly sweet with lots of bready malt and sugary biscuits. Flowery with a faint trace of scotch, it’s interesting. Powerful stuff indeed.

330 ml bottle. Aroma of honey and toffee? Orange tinged gold color with virtually no head. Medium body with very mild, near creamy, carbonation. Almost syrupy. More like drinking a cordial. Brandy flavored cordial. Heat burns the edges of the tongue. It has sugar, it has brandy flavor, it has something that is actually attractive. In the end there is bitter, but it is difficult to ascribe. I vote for Sass. It’s a good experience, but not a session beer. No regrets at having the experience, and I would do it again. (and again) Reflect not on what it should or could be, but appreciate it for what it actually is.

Flaske. Pilsner gylden. Duft som en malt likør hvis Årgangsøl og masterbrew er normalen for denne type. Meget alkohol i både smag og duft. Ikke nogen udpræget nydelse.

Pours a delectable amber with honey yellow edges, faintest wisps of bubbles scattered across the surface. Nose of toffee, honey, and yes, cognac, a trace of wooden hops; similar on the palate, alcohol definitely makes itself known, somewhat sticky for a lager, although clean finish with lingering yeasty bite.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour with peach notes, brief white head. Malty nose with tropical fruit, orange peel and grassy notes. Sweet with hints of marzipan. Malty taste with notes of dried fruit, lots of malt sweetness and dominant notes of fiery alcohol. Notes of grass, hay and toffee in the finish. Full body, really sweet. Better balance than expected but still dominated by alcohol sweetness. Nice, but Samichlaus is more balanced despite the higher alcohol level.

Sarà anche the cognac of beers, ma a me ha lasciato un’impressione per niente piacevole; chili e chili di alcool nell’aroma e nel sapore. Schiuma inesistente, colore biondiccio fosforescente. Una doppelbock ’rinforzata’ con risultati non troppo armoniosi.______________ENGLISH TEXT HERE______________Could also be "the Cognac of beers" but to me it has leaved a bad impression; tons of alcohol in the aroma and flavor. Non existent head, fosforescent blondish color. A "forced" dopplebock with disarmonic results.
