33 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Golden clear colour with a weak head. Very malty aroma. Also malty flavour with a warm feeling from the alcohol. Very tastful of malt.

Bottle. Ooh. Strong banana nut bread comes wafting off this pale golden brew. Rather light colored compared to other doppelbocks I’ve had. Whoa! It’s got a little bit of alcohol here, banana rum! A little brown sugar mama! Very surprising. Surprising this is seen so low among doppelbocks, it’s got a very distinctive flavor and it’s rather enjoyable. A lot lighter than most doppelbocks, so maybe there’s a biace, but it’s got a very enjoyable fruit spice alcoholiness that is more flavorful than any other bock type of beer I’ve had. One bas note is that it has a bit of a cloying burnineness to it that is vaguely reminiscent of the samichlaus, like a shadow of that, that makes you want to stop drinking it a bit.

Sweet oaky and pleasant aroma. Golden colour with no head at all. Except for the faint signs of carbonation, you would think the beer had been poured yesterday. Malt and alcohol sweetness dominates the flavour, with a long dry bitterness in the aftertaste. Very rich, but the balance between sweet and bitter is off, and the beer ends up being too sweet for me.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear flat gold with almost no head. Sweet sugary and woodsy aroma. Flavour of white wine, wood and yeast. Full bodied and syrupy. I found this just O.K.

Medium golden color with a small white head, potent aroma of caramel, toffee, and roasted malt. Tasted of a good whiskey, without that burning alcohol sensation. I expected less flavor with the color, but it turned out to be a damn good beer.

Bottled. Amber colour. Sweetish-sourish nose and with clear alcohol notes. Loads of malty, mouthcoating almonds in the flavour.

Bottled. Poured much lighter than anticipated... a light amber with a short cap of beige head and a lot of sediment floating around in there. Nose picked up vinous notes, dark fruit, oak, and hydrogen peroxide... sweet and malty overall, but had odd some odd aspects to it. Rather light mouthfeel with pears and grapes initially. Alcohol and floral hoppage show up at the back of the mouth and finish. Molasses and caramel provide a solid base. Alcohol was a little too pervasive at the finish, but was held in check by pears and floral hops. Decent.
