Pours golden into the glass, with the head diminishing to nothing (due to ABV, I’m sure). The nose is of definitive sour grains and doughy yeast notes. The flavors are similar.... although sweet and alcoholic, the yeast prevails through the other contingencies. A bit unilateral, this doesn’t explore the myriad of integrations like a top-tier doppelbock does. The finish is still yeasty and alcoholic, with a lingering sour dough to the back palate and a mouthfeel devoid of description. An "ok" rate, but not one I’d seek out again, unless I was surely in the mood.

Pours golden straw with no head. Bread like aroma with creamy body, some light grass and apple flavours, but very alcohol dominant.

A salzkammerguti Schloss Eggenberg sörfőzde duplabak söre. Valamiért nem voltam meghatódva tőle. Számomra erősen kikandikál az összhatásból az alkohol íze.

Light orange with suspended brown chunks, quick white carbonation, no lasting head. Strong caramel, fruit, alcohol aroma. Taste is big raisins, caramel, brown sugar, and more thinning alcohol.

Bottled sample. Clear gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas of stewed fruit, winegums, booze, white grape skin, and pale malts. Medium bodied, with a fair bit of malt sweetness, more stewed fruit, a bit of earthy hop, and booze. Pretty average stuff, but not really a favorite style of mine.

Tastes like a strong, high quality malt liquor. There is some grape and or brandy flavor and Belgian yeast too. Tingly finish. Interesting stuff.

Clear amber pour, almost no head. Sweet aroma of apple cider and alcohol. Flavor has a light bitterness to it, very grainy taste. Alcohol present fairly strongly in the aftertaste. Enjoyable.
