Bouteille 330ml, courtoisie de Blankboy. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt sucré, léger d’alcool et de légumes bouillis avec des notes de pain, d’épices, de fruits (raisins) et de miel. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture plutôt sirupeuse et aux notes crémeuses. Petites notes fruitées (raisins et pommes) accompagné de notes épicées et de légumes bouillis lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de grains de malt sucrés ainsi que des notes de caramel, de miel et des traces de pain. Parallèlement, l’on retrouve une moyenne amertume d’alcool réchauffant jusqu’en finale, où l’on note également la présence d’un léger goût de houblon herbeux ainsi que des petites notes boisées (fût de chêne). Post-goût moyen-long et un peu sec, moyennement amer d’alcool et de houblon herbeux avec de faibles notes fruitées (moût de raisins).

Nov 29, 2008 A clear orange/golden colored beer, with a nice thick white head. The aroma is malty sweet, with fruits. The taste is spicey, sweet fruits like peaches and a little banana. There is alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is a bit burny an d some bitter. At the end it’s sweet and sticky.

Nov 28, 2008 The bottle looks really, really good. The beer in the glass is lighter than exspected. Hoppy-alcoholic aroma. Tastes strong, wood and alcohol, but not too much. Modest sweet in the background. Strong and warming finish. Good beer!

Aroma: Caramel, some hops. Bit of alcohol.
Taste: Caramel, too much alcohol flavour, but still alright. Warming.

Nov 20, 2008 330 ml bottle - pours medium amber with a small dense white head. Very sweet aromas of grass, grain, alcohol and green apples - perhaps a bit off. Metallic taste, but not from the hops - like actual metal. Thick body, but cloying. tough to get through the bottle. Too much alcohol in the finish. Not my bag.

Nov 1, 2008 Schloss thinks highly of themselves with the expressions like ’’cognac/whisky of beers’’ I prefere this to Nessie. The body is a bit too thin and the taste is a bit too sweet
