| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2005 12 oz bottle. Luminous slightly hazy gold with a faint head diminishing quickly into a small ring...alcohol, almonds and brown sugar waft into the nose, caramel and vanilla increasingly noticeable with warmth...brown sugar, pine and neutral alcohol in the viscous, slightly syrupy body...booze is a bit too harsh at the finish. Somewhat disappointing. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2004 Deep clear golden yellow color, has a decent head that doesn't last. Sweet malty, toffee candy like aroma. Sweet burnt caramel sugar flavors, full body and a thick and syrupy mouthfeel, alcohol comes out in the finish with a sticky sweetness, not at all what I expected.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2003 Pretty light color for the "amber" claimed in the description, small white head, light nose with a hint of sweet malt. Sweetish body, somewhat heavy, a little bitterness but not much in terms of hop character. Alcohol in the finish. Flirts with the maltiness of say, Celebrator, but doesn't commit. Definitely not cognac-like. Perhaps this bottle was too young, but I don't see a date on it. Has a hint of the soy sauce character of their eisbock. aracauna (2427), Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2002 First thing I picked up on the nose is lemons. A little spicy yeast and a sweet smell. The color is clear but lackluster, it seemed dull. Not a lot of head and and very little retention. Flavor mildly malty, the tiniest bit of hop bitterness and a good dose of alcohol. Seemed a little thin. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a light amber with a quickly disapearing beige head. Aroma is sweet with some caramel, alcohol, light fruit. Body is thick and kind of oily with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, with some alcohol, some caramel, and a light burn with a hint of hops. Sometimes almost champagne like, the finish is lightly sweet and very alcoholic with some apple and caramel coming through. Kind of sticky, but not too bad. It’s okay, strong, sweet, and smooth.
