daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada Apr 22, 2008 330mL bottle: Clear amber in color with tan bubbly head which quickly dissipated. Aroma is sweet, reminiscent of extra dose of malt. Flavor is initially sweet and very boldly, the malty flavor dominates giving way to fruity notes. Alcohol is very present throughout the tasting. The palate is syrupy and sharp. This is a good beverage meant to be slowly sipped with canape style food.
Ober (526), Best, Netherlands Nov 29, 2008 A clear orange/golden colored beer, with a nice thick white head. The aroma is malty sweet, with fruits. The taste is spicey, sweet fruits like peaches and a little banana. There is alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is a bit burny an d some bitter. At the end it’s sweet and sticky. kappldav123 (1172), Markkleeberg, Germany Nov 28, 2008 The bottle looks really, really good. The beer in the glass is lighter than exspected. Hoppy-alcoholic aroma. Tastes strong, wood and alcohol, but not too much. Modest sweet in the background. Strong and warming finish. Good beer! azlondon (527), Greater London, England Nov 26, 2008 Appearance: Amber. Little bit of off-white head.
Aroma: Caramel, some hops. Bit of alcohol.
Taste: Caramel, too much alcohol flavour, but still alright. Warming.
Info: 355ml bottle, 24/11-2008, 206/500 VeloVampire (410), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 20, 2008 330 ml bottle - pours medium amber with a small dense white head. Very sweet aromas of grass, grain, alcohol and green apples - perhaps a bit off. Metallic taste, but not from the hops - like actual metal. Thick body, but cloying. tough to get through the bottle. Too much alcohol in the finish. Not my bag. finol (63), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Nov 1, 2008 Schloss thinks highly of themselves with the expressions like ’’cognac/whisky of beers’’ I prefere this to Nessie. The body is a bit too thin and the taste is a bit too sweet
