The 1st thing I will mention is that Iím not a doppelbock fan, they just tend to be too sweet for my liking, but I respect what should be good by the style. This to me is alright. Firstly, the aroma is full of everything from raisins, alcohol, sugary candy, roast, tobacco, and a licorice. In appearance it is a dark coppery color, not much head (typical). Itís flavors are pretty much a mirror of the aromas. Itís again sweeter than Iím comfortable with, but for the style itís somewhat balanced. Itís astringent, sweet, and full flavored. Not things Iím into as a group collective. Not for me, but if you like doppelbocks, itís perfectly acceptable.

0.33l bottle. Malty aroma with caramel, toffee and sweet notes. Clear golden color, no head. Malty taste with sweet caramel notes, cocktail cherries, light alcohol traces. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish with caramel notes.

0.33 l bottle. Pours clear golden with quickly disappearing head. Honey, reisin, alcohol, bitter and sweet notes in aroma. In taste first comes the sweetness and then dry bitterness. Heavy on body, softly carbonated. Good one.

One of the best Austrian beer iíve tried. Itís a doppelbock beer; however its palate is lighter as expected. Roasted malt and brown sugar caramel notes compensated by the hops.

Sweet honey aroma. Gold appearance. The head is not staying a lot. Honey strong taste. This could be a honey beer. But very nice body and palate.

Cloudy, little more orange than pale yellow. Strong taste with a high ABV. I didnít find the 9.6% to be as overwhelming as other higher ABV beers, but this isnít that good and I took my time at it. It was a good beer to sample, but not make a staple.
