Todeon (225), Höllviken, Sweden Oct 28, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Pours a nice brown/red color. Dark fruity and almost some smoke in the aroma. Taste is sweet with bready notes and some dark fruits with a syrupy mouthfeel. yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear yet golden brown and with a huge tan head. Breadish and dark fruity aroma, quite inviting. Dark breadish malt flavour. Mild sweetend and vaguely spiced. Light fruity touch and delicately spiced. Ends with a nice lingering malty and fruity finish. Nice one. sebletitje (579), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 50cl bottle. Pours copper with a broznish head.
Aroma is roasted, taste is roasted malts (coffee) lightly smokey and honey? giving it a sweet taste. Could also note some hoppy spices, possibly corriander or pepper.
Really not a bad brew. OldMrCrow (1057), Seattle, Washington, USA Nov 26, 2007 Bottle purchased in Berlin

Pours dark brown with nice lacing. Flavor is a nice thick dark caramel atop an assertive (for the style) hop bitterness. Earthy, slightly spicy notes, very full mouthfeel, altogether highly enjoyable. Veer (333), Landskrona, Sweden Aug 17, 2007 Aroma: fruity, vanilla, sweet malts, herbs, red currants, sourish, rustic, woody, surprisingly complex.
Appearance: beige/grey/yellow head that sets quickly. Reminds me of Coca-Cola.
Flavour: creamy mild bitterness with massive toastiness. Malt dominates but a vague, grassy character lurks in the aftertaste. Pretty dry for a doppelbock. Only some caramel sweetness. However mild the bitterness is astringent.
Palate: soft, soda... too carbonated, two sips and you burp, like Coca-Cola.
Actually, even the taste reminds me of coke... There’s nothing bad going on here, itäs just not delicious.
