oldrtybastrd (1793), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Oct 30, 2008 Courtesy of SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear orange yellow color. Big aromas of honey, fruits. Flavor is sweet. Mild bready notes w/ some hints of spice. Didn’t care for this one, it felt artifical. larsga (2447), Oslo, Norway Oct 14, 2008 Medium offwhite head. Dark brown body. Thin fruity artificial aroma. Dry-sweet powerful honeyish malty papery taste with vague hoppy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry papery honey aftertaste. Quite nice, but nothing major. Certainly highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Sixtina, Leipzig.) oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Sep 28, 2008 Bottled@Fonefan. Orange colour, mediumsized beige creamy head. Aroma is hops, malts and some mild hints of wood. Flavour is caramel malts, some grass, wood and dark riped fruits. Probably some slight honeyish notes that are making it so sticky sweet. Archibaldo de la Cruz (174), Finland Sep 3, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber colour with a very small white head. Sweet honey aroma. Flavour is sweet, malty and some honey. Medium bodied. Taste wasn’t that bad but it was a bit too sweet for me. DerWeg (450), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 Hah. This was a honey beer we purchased at a market in Naumberg, Wild honey notes in aroma, mild, dark. Not great mouth-feel or finish.
