Nett!

Pours a dark golden brown color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is sour malt, grass, corn, and caramel. The taste is actually pretty decent. It’s got a light biscuit, slightly malty, lager taste. Unfortunately there’s a pretty harsh metallic aftertaste. Decent, but I wouldn’t try to find it again.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, würzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht fruchtig süß, getreidig.

Clear amber color, small white head. Paper, caramel, some ryeish. Full-bodied. Caramel, alcohol, malty and very sweet. Lingering hops and alcohol.

0.5 l bottle at Timo A’s. Light amber color. Bready, toffeish, raisins and caramelly aroma with fair amount of higher alcohol. Very bready taste with warming fruity alcohol with raisins and toffee. Full body. Alcohol is on top and leaves malt second, not a good sign in bock.

Bottle. Clear ruby amber with a thin head. Aroma is fruit, grape and alcohol. Flavour is grape, plum warm malty alco base. Strange to place.

500ml bottle. Clear, amber-claret colour with small, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma has a slightly strange note of vineous and herbal vinegar, a fruity touch of grapes. Taste is fruity malty, hints of red berries, raisin, plum, herbal hoppy overtones. Relatively dark colour for a Heller Bock, but (if anything) correct more hell than dunkel a Bock in its character. Anyway, slightly strange, I’m not sure if what I tasted comes close to the brewer’s intention or if the bottle was infected.

In bottle .. aroma of honey and hat. Taste was really light bodied, with a subtle creaminess .. notes of tin/metal (I think this one isn’t a great bottle). Overall, OK but I would like to try again

Bottled@PBF VIII. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, toast and some mild floral and sweet maltiness. Flavour is fruits, floral notes and some mild sweetness. Balanced bock, but at the same time much "not maltiness" to it.
