Hazy Coca-Cola colour; brown-beige, small head. Bit earthy, bready smell, but not sweet. Leafy, slightly wry-earthy, even bitterish with some hopnotes. Tasty & good balance. Ends a tad sweet, however. Light, with some slight grist filling, bit sticky. Simple, but very well-made Dunkel. Idea outdoor drink in a half, or even full <i> Maß </i>, under the chestnut or limetrees - darn, I’m dreaming already.

Brilliant dark copper with a frothy off-white head. Great retention and lacing. Aroma of coffee, spicy hallertau, molasis and caramel. Mouthful is fairly dry and bitter. With a spicy hop flavour, some caramel and chocolate. The bitterness is quite heavy. The finish is smooth and meduim lasting.

<i>Bottle</i><br />Red chestnut, moderate carbonation, low off-white head. Mainly roasted aromanotes. Roasted, light chocolaty base, ok bitterhop counter. Chocolaty roast finish. Medium to light body, feels strangely undercarbonated. Pretty standard fare.
