Draft. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spicy hops, malt, and caramel. Thebflavor is sweet with notes of eggs, lemons, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Odd.

It’s slightly hazy dark amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt and light fruit and straw. The light to moderately sweet flavor has notes of caramel, malt, fruit, and straw towards the rather dry finish.

500ml bottle, mindestens haltbar bis: 04.01.12. It seems to be a spring Märzen beer. The pours is a deep, clear lightbrownish/gold. The head is off-white and leaves some ok lacing as it recedes. The smell is pleasant, if simple. It is mostly bready with a kick of herbal, earthy hops. The flavor is also very earthy. There is a hint of metallic flavor and nuts. It has a bit of herbal hoppiness to finish it off. This is an interesting Märzen if there ever was one. It doesn’t seem off, but intriguingly different.

Part of the Nurnberg Beer Raid 2011. 500 ml bottle in Nurnberg, Germany. Thanks to jfb. Is a clear gold color with a full foamy white head. Aroma is lots of malt with some soapiness to it. Taste is grainy, roasted, and somewhat harsh. Palate is not as smooth as this type should be. Over all not too bad.

Grima (2074) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2013
Bottle from Bierzwerg!
Pours strong golden yellow-orange with flat, white head. Smell has some grainy malts, bread and some floral hops. Starts with bitter hops, overall very flowery and spicy. In the background, there are lots of crispy malts as well as some bread. The middle part has lots of bread, paired with bitterish and flowery hops and some sweet grains. Goes into a flowery hoppy finish with some bread, grains and some spicy malts!
