lusikka (5948) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 24, 2014
330 ml bottle as Baronator tasted in vertical with 500 ml bottle as Schnee Bock. Pours a dark amber brown colour with a small head. Aroma of bread, red berries and some chocolate. Rich flavour of toasted malts, red berries, chocolate and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Really rich and smooth. And yes, Baronator is definitely the same beer as Schnee Bock.

33 cl bottle as "Schlossbrauerei Au Peccator". Vertical tasting with "Schlossbrauerei Au Schnee Bock" (50 cl bottle).
Pours dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma is ripe fruits, plums and raisins mostly, some yeast and caramel. Flavor of plums, faint nuts, yeast, caramel malts, mild spice notes and some sugar. Nice balance. These are clearly the same beer despite the bottle size and label differences. Very tasty.

Vertical tasting of 330ml (Peccator) / 500ml bottle (Schneebock). Thanks Timo A.

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of bready malts, sweet syrup, sticky notes and spices. Taste is sweet, bready malts and syrupy with some spices and sticky notes. Finish is sweet and malty. Quite generic stuff. Both are very similar, the fresh one (Peccator) is perhaps a bit better.

Idiosynkrasie (3587) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 15, 2014
500ml bottle [Schnee Bock]. Wonderful, clear, deep ruby red glowing, chestnut colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a nuttily touch, some almond. Taste is nuttily dark malty, minimally fruity, hints of malt lozenge; smooth, silky, soft palate.

Bottled from bierzwerg. A nice example of the style. Full bodied and bold. I enjoyed this beer.

BlackHaddock (3480) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2014
Badged as Schnee Bock: 500ml bottle in Weiss-Blau, Charlottenburg Berlin on 17th Jan 2014. Good looking thing, reddy brown chestnut hue to the body with a tanned crown on top. Roasted/toasted malts greet the nose, some dark fruits and an old Port ester or two complete the heavy aromas. The taste is also malty and again with those dark fruits and Port like flavours blending nicely with the sweet malty molasses to produce a very drinkable beer which hides it’s alcohol content far too well. Good body depth and the flavours were wonderful, a lovely beer all round.

500 ml bottle from Garmisch, Germany. Pours a dark brown almost black with a red tint. A huge foamy dark tan head. Aroma coco, roasted malt and fruit. Taste is plums, caramel, fruit and roasted nuts. Palate ends tart. A nice range of flavors and aromas. Good Stuff
