bottle from bierzwerg. Clear pale golden yellow, very large and rocky white head. Hoppy nose. Intenisvely hoppy in flavour, with a soolid malty background. Not too bitter but full of grassy and resiny hop flavours. A superb brew.

Bottled. Clear yellow, airy head. Grassy nose. Dry with söender bpdy and rounded mouthfeel. Really hoppy with lots of grass and biting bitterness. Refreshing pils!

Bottle... February in Franconia (2011)… Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. Good retention. The nose is of honey and white pepper. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is light biscuit and honey accompanied by snappy hop bitterness. Crisp, clean finish. As it turns out, this was a great accompaniment to Broken Barrel’s smoked bbq ribs. Thanks go out to erlangernick and Koelschtrinker for making this month of Franconia lagers possible!

Bottle thanks to the very generous Erlangernick. Prost. Clear pale gold lasting white head. Noble hoppy aroma. Oh yes, that’s a good German pils. Good German hop aroma, light in mouth, but then some lemon and lime and herb finish. Crisp and bitter. Lovely so refreshing. Went with my salmon en croute superbly.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2011 50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours almost clear yellow with a fully diminished white head. Light acidic and hoppy aroma, classic Fattigau house character it seems. Light sweet at first with a nice citrusy hoppy flavour following. Bitter and fresh hoppy into the finish. Again a nicely refreshing hoppy brew.

0.5l Bottle. Golden color, white head. Moderate aroma of herbal/grassy hops, some grain and bread notes. Taste starts a bit too sweet, grain and malt notes dominate at first, then decent hoppy notes. Medium body, medium bitterness. Expected a bit more, still a solid brew.

Bottle, 5.0%. Hoppy aroma, hint of flowery aroma hops. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. Good malty flavour, medium bitterness. The aroma hops are also in the flavour, nice and spicy.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 08.01.2013
Aroma has butter, some grainy malt, grassy hops and hay. Flavour is rather strong on grassy hops. Also some grainy malt and slight buttery notes. I like the grassy hops here.

aroma: grassy, hoppy, slightly butter/diacetyl, fresh, a bit sweet; colour is light golden, looks tasty, nice and for a pilsener very creamy foam on top of the beer; taste: slightly like metal, typical german hops, a bit grassy, very hoppy bitter but nevertheless quite refreshing. i like those southern pilsener due to their more hoppy character while the northern beers of this type don’t contain such a hop-aroma and are only bitter.
