Quack-Duck (1973), Bodensee, Germany Nov 29, 2008 bottle from bierzwerg. Clear yellow colour, rocky white head. Hoppy nose. Not as hoppy as their Doppelhopfen, but still quite hoppy with intensive grassy and resiny hop flavours. The malt is more presetn here, than in the Doppelhopfen. Also a very good Pils. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Sep 22, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Pale golden, smaller, slowly diminishing white head, shy aroma of sweet malt and aromatic hops in the nose, a bit papery; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth MF; clean sweet-malty and distinctive aromatc hoppy finish. Weak aroma, but quite good taste..... MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Jun 21, 2007 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized blond foamy head with an average durability. Light-sweet strawy malt aroma with grassy hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, strawy malty taste, that reminds me of a Helles, light herbal background; light to medium bdy, medium carbonation, well-matured mouthfeel; moderately dry, slightly sweet, even lighter bitter finish with a touch of herbal and slightly grassy hops. Not bad, at least it is clean and pretty rounded. CEZ (366), Milano, Italy Jan 22, 2006 Deep golden body, balanced taste, moderately hoppy, with a nutty finish. Average pilsner.
