Draught at the Zum Erdinger Weissbräu.
Clear reddish brown colour with a small light tan head.
Caramel malt, sweetness, mild diacetyl and mild metal in the aroma.
The flavour is bready malt, mild sweetness, mild diacetyl and some mild vinegar notes. Not very enjoyable Dunkel.

On tap, or possibly the glass was poured from bottle, as Mariabrunner Dunkel, at the Brauerei-Gasthof zur Post, Erding. Very dark brown to ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma with notes of dark bread and caramel. The flavour has distinct notes of dark münchener malts and caramel, also notes of brown bread. Minimal hops. A decent dunkel.

Had at Erdinger restaurant in Erding. A decent but not great Dunkel. I enjoyed it but the levels flavor seemed a bit lacking. I was looking for something a bit richer and this isn’t quite it. Serving: Tap

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown-red colored with medium sized light brown head. Sweet caramelly and nutty aroma with fine hops, some vinous note also present. Flavor is similar with nice nuts and artificial chocolate. Aftertaste dries with chocolate still.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(draught) No beercolour description possible - served in a Stein; huge whipped eggwhite-like head.
Nose of wet cardboard - and - God, what’s happening, that’s the second in one day - vomit. After some patience, it gets an equally weird raspberry-like aroma, ending as raspberry ice. Perfumed taste, anuyway. Ending in a bit sharp, metallic flavour. Quite malty and sweet underneath. Medium bodied. Metallic taste imposes itself on the MF - sharp, but not off-putting. Not my cuppa - beer. But I could well imagine this beer would have its defenders.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slight roasted notes.
Light Chestnut brown, strings of fine pearling bubbles,
Malt, slightly roasted, a soft
caramel foundation with a bitterhop finish.
Pleasant but not fantastic.
