Bov (4744), Bienne, Switzerland Apr 16, 2008 cloudy brown colour with a little stable beige foam; some biscuity maltiness and notes of caramel but everything being very shy; light to medium-bodied, the carbonation is a bit high; low bitterness; quite long aftertaste where more notes of caramel and corn appear - not bad at all
Papsoe (11062), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of omhper. Lightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish roasted malt in the nose. Medium body with sweet roasted malt and some rye bread. Subdued bitterness. Quite nice. 041008 MiP (6323), Flensburg, Germany Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, 5.0%. Sweet and bready aroma, hint of alcohol to balance. Cloudy brown colour. Slightly sweet flavour, hint of spice and cardboard. Some caramel, OK balance. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 16, 2008 Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Cloudy brownish amber, creamy head. Soapy aroma of my grandmother’s (RIP) bath tub. Sweet with light, fragile body. A bit perfumy with shy malt flavour and some yeastiness. The expected roasty flavours can’t be found. Instead it has a long finish with growing bitterness. There is nothing particular about it, but it’s pretty balanced and nicely relaxed. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Jul 14, 2008 Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, sweet malts and some mild notes of bread. Flavour is caramel malts, mild spices, fruits and some hops. Quite grassy finish along with slight caramelly notes.
