OD40oz (401), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA Apr 12, 2004 Another wonderful white, trailer trash treasure of a beer. I love this stuff, its right up there with PBR, Old Mil and Budweiser. Jayson2425 (132), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA Apr 12, 2004 I dont know how i didnt stumble onto this great beer earlier. As soon as i had a can i was in love. I cant wait to tell billy bob about this treasure BobGreen (1), Whitehall, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Dec 8, 2004 Just what the label says....Premium Beer! I’ve been drinking Schmidts for 30 years. Still can’t believe they can make it so cheap but taste sooooooooooo good! jezmez68 (281), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Jun 10, 2006 Updated: Oct 17, 2007Used to get these poured in a "bowl" at a T-Bock’s, a tavern in Decorah, Iowa. It wasn’t anything special, but was a fine way to spend an afternoon waiting for an oil change from the garage across the street. Your typical "beer" beer. Pours yellow. Nice smell of tavern. Little to no head. Palate does not offend. Tastes like beery water, and goes down smoothly. Good, but nothing revelating.
Beer Guy99 (250), Maineville, Ohio, USA Jan 31, 2002 One of the better old-line regional brands. Old man beer? I’m in my thirties and I’ve always like Schmidt’s - both the Minnesota/Wisconsin Schmidt and the Philadelphia Schmidt’s, which Heileman rolled into a single brand with elements from both labels after it bought both breweries. The beer itself never wavered, always a good sturdy American standard. Probably one of the best bargains of the beer world. Inexpensive but the quality is evident.
